Hi Folks. Left to right we’ve got Philip, Kyle, David (me), Vicki, and Gianna. Gianna and Philip have been with us for a good bit now and we’re hoping they stick around for a good bit to come. They handle the daily work of keeping all the animals living the best life. Moving, feeding, watering and everything else that that entails. You may catch Gianna at market from time to time as well. Kyle is our face at market and order fulfillment extraordinaire. He’s also brought my (and Vicki’s) job satisfaction surveys up quite a few notches by taking the brunt of the walk in freezer work. He’s a huge help and we’re really happy to have him on the team. We’re very fortunate to have a solid group of good people helping make this farm go. Last but not least is Vicki. She’s more than my better half and I could go on and on but I won’t. I’m pretty sure over the years we’ve butchered turkeys, loaded pigs and chased down escape sheep on our anniversary. You can’t have a sustainable farm without a great partner. I’m more than lucky.

Calvert/PG home delivery next week. Wed 1/14. You can order until Monday at midnight. Free delivery over $75. Leave a cooler out and we’ll fill it by early afternoon. Order Here.

Anne Arundel County Farmers Market on Sunday 9-noon. This is a great winter market. Tons of great options including our ethically raised meat and eggs. You can pre-order for this one as well. The deadline is Friday at midnight. Order Here.

The Farm Store is open every Saturday 10-2. Stop by the farm and pick up what you need in our little red farm store. All our meats and eggs plus some other local offerings. It’s little but has what you need, and we’ve been happy with how it’s been going so far. If you want to stop by a different time just text or email and we can make that work too.

Lastly. I hope everyone had a good holiday season and that you’re feeling alright going into the year ahead. It’s crazy out there and our goal is to offer a simple, very good product for your table. Thank you for helping us reach that goal. We’ll continue to do our best in this new year.

Big Storm Big Trip

Two big things going on for us this week, one of which I’m sure will affect you as well. First off, there’s a big storm coming this weekend. It look like it’s going to leave quite a mess. In true “farmers try our best” fashion, the Sunday Anne Arundel Farmers Market will be moving to Saturday (9-noon) this week. There will be NO Sunday market this week. All Sunday pre-orders will be there Saturday. You can also still order for Saturday until noon tomorrow (Friday). If you need to make other arrangements to pick up, just reach out. Now let’s look into why there’s a giant storm coming…..

Big Week of Not Much at All

Hi folks. We had a quite uneventful week here. The farm crew kept things moving and got started on a few projects. The Calvert/PG delivery route grew a little bit and we’re happy that option is picking up some new customers. Family time involved an eye doctor visit and some cavities getting filled. Like I said, not a lot to report on the farm front. Things I reminded myself of this week. Our pork chops are awesome, T-bone steaks are something special and our bacon can’t be beat. Hope you had a good week too.

Happy New Year!

Im pretty sure this is the last week of non-animal related photos in the email. My farm to do list has waited patiently for the holidays to pass, and now we’re there. Today we’re loading up the big flock of sheep and bringing them back to the main farm for the rest of winter. Next week the big flock of layers will be back too. It’s nice to have the animals close for winter.
